About Lia's Coloring Book

Lia is the girl who draws on Backyard Town's Magic Wall, and this is her coloring book: 20 pages full of the gang and the town's favorite spots — Scribble chasing a butterfly, Granny Quelonia reading under a tree, the little farm, the cake shop, the fire truck, a campout on the hill and lots more. The pages hang on a clothesline that slides side to side; just pick one and start. You get three tools: the paint bucket, which fills a whole part of the picture with one tap, right up to the middle of the line, so no white gaps are left; the crayon, which draws with a waxy texture and stays inside the part where you started, so you never color outside the lines; and the eraser. UNDO takes back your last step, and two fingers zoom in so you can color the tiny details. There are 24 colors, including skin tones and white. When a page is done, Lia celebrates with a round of applause, the page goes back on the clothesline with a star, and you can save it as a picture. Everything you color is saved on its own on your device, with no account or sign-up: close it and come back whenever you like, and your picture will be right where you left it. No points, no lives, no rush — just color.

In Selminha's words

“Everyone has colored in a coloring book, and Lia, who draws on Backyard Town's Magic Wall, needed one of her own. I wanted a book any kid could color on their own: one tap fills a space, the crayon stays inside the lines, and nothing ever gets lost.”

How to color in Lia's Coloring Book, plus tips

  1. Pick a page on the clothesline: drag it sideways, use the arrows or tap the dots to see all 20.
  2. FILL: tap or click part of the picture and it all turns the color you picked. CRAYON: drag to draw — it stays inside the part where you started. ERASER: drag to erase.
  3. UNDO takes back your last step. For tiny details, zoom in with two fingers (on a computer, Ctrl and the mouse wheel).
  4. All done? Tap DONE!: Lia celebrates, the page goes on the clothesline with a star, and SAVE PICTURE saves it as an image.
  5. Everything saves on its own on this device: close it, come back anytime, and your picture will still be there.
