01
Access to the games
The games on Selminha.com are free and run in the browser of a phone, a tablet or a computer. There is nothing to download or install, and there is no login, sign-up or user account.
What you need
An up-to-date browser with support for modern graphics (WebGL) and an internet connection. On very old browsers, some games may not open.
Personal use
Access is for personal, non-commercial use. You may not use automated means to access the site, overload the servers, work around usage limits, or try to defeat the protections on the games and the score lists.
Free of charge
Today there are no in-game purchases, no subscription, no ads and no paid version. If any of that changes, these terms will be updated before the change goes live, and the version date on this page will show the update.
02
Ratings and leaderboards
Each player can rate each game once, from 1 to 5 stars, and can change that rating later — the new one replaces the old. Since there is no sign-up, your browser stores an anonymous identifier purely so the site knows the vote already exists.
How the standings are built
Top games weighs the average rating against the number of ratings, so a single top vote does not jump ahead of a game with many votes. Ties go to the number of ratings. Each game competes in the main category on its record.
Scores and names
When you finish a run, you can save a name of up to 10 letters along with your score. Inappropriate names are refused automatically and the site asks for another one. Scores obtained by modifying the game, by automation or by any other workaround, along with inappropriate names that slip past the filter, may be removed from the lists without notice.
How long they last
Ratings and scores are stored on the site's server. Indefinite retention cannot be guaranteed: lists may be reset after a technical failure, a change to a game's rules, or a fraud correction. When that happens to a specific game, the notice will appear on that game's page.
03
Use of the content
Everything published on Selminha.com is protected by copyright: the games (code, mechanics, text, images, sound and 3D models), the Selminha character, the site's text, the illustrations, the videos and the site itself. The protection comes from Lei nº 9.610/98 (Brazil's copyright law) and Lei nº 9.609/98 (Brazil's software law) and does not depend on registration.
What is not allowed
Copying, reproducing, modifying, decompiling, translating, distributing, selling, hosting at another address, or embedding in other sites and apps — in whole or in part — any game or content from Selminha.com, with or without commercial intent, without prior written permission. That includes embedding the games in an iframe, copying files from the site, and using the Selminha character, name or visual identity.
What is allowed
Playing in your browser, on Selminha.com itself, and sharing links to the site's pages — including on social media, in videos and in recommendation lists.
Ideas sent in by players
Game ideas sent through the contact form are welcome and may inspire new creations, without creating any obligation, exclusivity or duty to pay. If you do not want your suggestion used that way, please do not send it.
Violations are subject to the civil and criminal measures provided by law, including having the copied content taken down at hosting providers and platforms.
04
Availability and changes
The site is offered as it is. The intention is to keep it up all the time, but there can be interruptions for maintenance, technical failure, a problem at the hosting service, or causes outside anyone's control.
Changes to the catalog
Games may be updated, have their rules adjusted, go offline for a while, or be taken out of the catalog. Updating a game keeps the ratings and scores already saved, unless a rules change makes the lists no longer comparable — and in that case the notice goes on the game's page.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change at any time. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the date shown beside it. Significant changes — such as ads or paid features arriving — will be made before the change goes live.
Limits
The site is not responsible for temporary downtime, lost scores, incompatibility with a specific device or browser, or third-party content reached through external links.
05
Contact and version of these terms
Questions about these rules, requests to use the content, and reports of unauthorized copying should be sent through the Contact page. Every message gets a support code and is answered by email.
Privacy
How the site handles the data it stores — ratings, scores and contact messages — is described on the Privacy page.
