Game area

The Queen of Hearts, in a heart-adorned crown and a red-and-white gown with gold trim, conjures swirling pink heart magic from her outstretched hand. Beside her, a golden slot machine sits in the middle of a royal casino hall with red velvet curtains and gold chandeliers. The five reels show card symbols, a crown, two ruby hearts, a portrait and a coin with a red diamond, and a shower of gold coins bursts out of the machine. On the right, the Jack of Diamonds, in gold armor with a red diamond on his chest, holds a large golden key in front of a round vault door.

About Jackpot Slots

It's a slot machine like the ones lining the casino floors of Las Vegas, with the court of the Queen of Hearts on the reels. There are five reels and 243 ways to win: matching symbols pay on adjacent reels from the leftmost one, with no paylines to pick. The Queen of Hearts is the top-paying symbol, and the Crown is wild. Three Queen's Seals trigger the free spins of the Queen's Magic, where hearts turn into Crowns that double the win. Six Diamond Coins open the Vault: coins lock in place, and every new coin resets your three spins. Now and then the Queen of Diamonds steps in with the Diamond Strike and turns whole reels into Crowns, and Crowns on reels 2, 3 and 4 spin the Royal Wheel. There are five jackpots: MINI, MINOR and MAXI pay 10, 25 and 50 times the bet; the MAJOR and the GRAND are pots shared by every player, growing with 0.5% of each bet and resetting when someone hits them. Bets run from $0.88 to $3.52, every spin is a fair draw, and on average the machine pays back 97% of what you bet. It's a demo-mode game made purely for entertainment: none of the amounts are real, and every win or loss is fictional.

In Selminha's words

“I wanted the sights and sounds of a casino floor inside the Kingdom: the cabinet glowing, the reels spinning, the party when a big win lands, and that rush when the GRAND pot climbs past a few thousand. The bonuses are inspired by the new machines people line up for in casinos — the coin vault where coins lock in place and reset your spins, the wheel over the reels, the character who storms the screen — each one woven into the Queen of Hearts' story: the Queen's magic, the Queen of Diamonds' strike, the vault of the Kingdom of Diamonds. And the MAJOR and GRAND pots are truly shared: every bet from every player makes the number go up.”

How to play Jackpot Slots and what each bonus does

  1. Set your bet with − and +, from $0.88 to $3.52, and tap SPIN. You start with $300 in play money.
  2. Matching symbols pay on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost one. Each path is one way: two Queens on the second reel make two ways. PAYTABLE shows what every combination pays at your bet.
  3. The Crown is wild on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. Three Seals anywhere trigger the free spins; six Coins open the Diamond Vault.
  4. In the Vault, coins lock in place and you get three spins, which reset to three with every new coin. Ten coins open the fourth row; fifteen open the fifth. Filling all 25 spots wins the GRAND.
  5. The MAJOR and the GRAND belong to everyone: the screen shows each pot climbing with every player's bets. The bigger your bet, the better your shot at winning one.
  6. AUTO spins 10, 25 or 50 times for you. When a bonus hits or you land a big win, it pauses and saves your remaining spins: SPIN picks up where you left off, and STOP ends autoplay. CASH OUT asks you to confirm, then ends the night and puts your balance on the leaderboard.

A demo-mode game

Just for fun
Jackpot Slots is a demo-mode game made purely for entertainment. None of the amounts are real: the dollars are play money, and every win or loss is fictional. You never bet or win real money here.

The bonuses

The Queen's Magic
Three, four or five Seals award 8, 12 or 20 free spins. On each one, the Queen of Hearts casts hearts that turn into ×2 Crowns; ×2s on the same path add up. Three Seals during the free spins add eight more.
Diamond Vault
Six Coins open the vault. Coins lock in place and you get three spins, which reset to three with every new coin. The castle gate opens the fourth row at 10 coins and the fifth at 15. The COLLECT coin gathers the value of all the others.
Top vault
Coins that land without opening the vault are saved up top. At 100, the next Vault starts with four rows; at 240, with all five.
Diamond Strike
Out of nowhere, the Queen of Diamonds steps onto the screen and strikes with a slash of light: one or two full reels turn into Crowns.
Royal Wheel
Crowns on reels 2, 3 and 4 in the same spin bring the wheel down over the reels. It has 20 slices, all the same size, with play-money prizes, MINI, MINOR, MAXI, free spins and the Vault.

Controls on phone and computer

Computer
Tap SPIN to spin the reels and − or + to change your bet · on a keyboard, SPACE spins and the − and + keys change the bet · ↑ ↓ ← → move between buttons · ENTER selects · ESC pauses · M turns sound on and off
Touch
Phone held upright, in full screen: the logo, the jackpots, the Queen of Hearts and the Jack of Diamonds up top, the reels in the middle and the buttons at the bottom, right under your thumb. On a tablet, the machine follows the way you're holding it and never asks you to rotate; held sideways, it sits in the middle of the casino floor, with the Queen of Hearts and the Jack of Diamonds on either side.

The jackpots and the odds

MINI, MINOR and MAXI
They pay 10, 25 and 50 times the bet and come from Vault coins and the Wheel: roughly once every 433, 1,475 and 3,665 spins.
MAJOR and GRAND, the shared pots
They start at $500 and $5,000 and grow with 0.5% of every bet from every player. Whoever hits one takes the whole pot, and it resets for everyone.
Bigger bets, better odds
At a $0.88 bet, the MAJOR hits once every 40,000 spins and the GRAND once every 400,000. At $3.52, four times as often: once every 10,000 and once every 100,000. That keeps the payback the same at any bet size.
A fair draw
The whole spin is decided the instant you hit SPIN, by your browser's own random number generator; the reels just reveal the result. On average, the machine pays back 97% of what you bet.
