Lume’s Furnace

Selminha standard: P pauses · M sound · SPACE or tap to startAbout Lume’s Furnace
Kiko opened the foundry’s loading shaft and the press won’t stop: blocks of pressed scrap, in seven shapes and seven metal colors, drop one after another. You turn and fit each one into the 10-by-20 shaft; when a row has no gap left, Lume lets out a breath of fire and melts the whole thing — the row vanishes and everything above drops down. Four rows at once are worth far more than four separate ones, and melting on consecutive drops earns a chain bonus. Every 10 rows a new batch starts and the scrap falls faster, up to batch 15, where the speed stops climbing (fast, but always playable). Melting rows fills the fire breath gauge: when it is full, the breath melts the bottom row in an emergency. No lives: if scrap reaches the top of the shaft, the furnace jams and the batch is over. Scores go to the site’s Top 5.
One of Selminha's ideas
“Falling pieces and vanishing rows is a game everyone knows by heart. What I wanted was our workshop’s version: real scrap coming down the shaft, and Lume — the flame of the franchise — doing the melting.”
How to play Lume’s Furnace
- On a phone: drag sideways to move the piece, tap the right half of the shaft to rotate (the left half rotates the other way), swipe down to drop it all the way and swipe up to keep it in reserve. The RESERVE and FIRE BREATH buttons sit beside the shaft. On a computer: A/D or arrows move, W/↑/J rotate (I or the right mouse button rotate the other way), S/↓ or the mouse wheel drops faster, K or Space drops all the way, H keeps in reserve, L is the fire breath. On a gamepad: d-pad moves, X rotates, RT rotates the other way, A drops, LT reserve, B fire breath.
- A full row melts: 100 points for 1 row, 300 for 2, 500 for 3 and 800 for 4 at once, all multiplied by the batch number. Melting on consecutive drops gives a chain bonus. Dropping all the way earns 2 points per cell; dropping faster, 1.
- RESERVE stores the current piece and hands back the stored one (one swap per piece); on a computer, clicking the RESERVE box also swaps, and clicking FIRE BREATH uses the breath. The shadow at the bottom of the shaft shows where the piece will land.
- The FIRE BREATH gauge (on the button beside the shaft) fills with every melted row. When full, the breath melts the bottom row, even an incomplete one — use it when the shaft gets too high. The NEXT BATCH bar at the top shows how many of the batch’s 10 rows are done.
- Every 10 rows, a new batch: the scrap falls faster. No lives, no extra life: a jammed shaft ends the batch. P or Esc pause; M toggles sound; F toggles full screen on a computer.
How the furnace works
- Seven shapes
- Blocks of pressed scrap: the four-long bar, the square, the T, the two S and the two L, each in its own metal color. They come in cycles: all seven show up before any repeats.
- Melting
- A row with no gap vanishes. One is worth 100, two 300, three 500, four 800 — times the batch number. Chains of melts earn a bonus.
- Batches
- Every 10 rows the scrap falls faster: from batch 1 (0.9 s per cell) to batch 15 (0.07 s per cell), where the speed locks. There is always half a second to adjust a piece after it touches down.
- Fire breath
- The button’s gauge fills with every melted row (faster when melting several at once). When full, the breath melts the bottom row — complete or not.
- Jammed
- Scrap at the top of the shaft ends the batch. No lives, no extra life.
The shadow at the bottom of the shaft shows where the piece will stop; RESERVE keeps a piece for the right moment.
Controls on phone and computer
- Computer
- A/D or ← → move · W, ↑ or J rotate · I or right mouse button rotates the other way · S, ↓ or mouse wheel drops faster · K or Space drops all the way · H reserve · L fire breath · P or Esc pause · M sound · F full screen · gamepad friendly: d-pad moves, X rotates, RT rotates the other way, A drops, LT reserve, B fire breath, Start pauses, Back toggles sound.
- Touch
- Phone upright and in full screen. Gestures right on the shaft: drag moves, a tap on the right half rotates (left half, the other way), swipe down drops all the way, swipe up keeps in reserve; RESERVE and FIRE BREATH buttons beside the shaft. Pause and sound in the top-right corner.
Scoring and ranking
- Top 5
- The final score is saved to the site’s ranking, along with rows melted and the batch reached.
- Languages
- Texts in Portuguese, English and Spanish, written in each language.
Four rows at once, with the four-long bar, is the fastest way up the board.

Turn the pipes and carry Lume's fire to the engine before his flame burns out. A portrait pipe puzzle from the Steel Flames franchise, with stages generated on the spot — each one knottier — and The Warden closing in as the flame runs low.
PlayWorkshop Crane
Kiko is in the crane cab and the hook never stops swinging. Tap to drop each piece — car, crate, drum, jerrycan, tire — onto the pile and build as high as you can: the tower really leans and falls, the wind blows up high and the Tamer shows up throwing grenades.
