In every Selminha game: P pauses · M sound · SPACE or tap to startAbout Connect the Dots
At the Rainbow Studio, Lia scattered numbered dots across a notebook page — and everything she draws with her Magic Crayon comes to life. Connect the dots in order, from 1 to the last one: with every tap, the crayon draws a line to the next number, which blinks to help little ones along. A wrong number doesn't draw anything; it just wiggles, and Scribble, the crayon puppy, tells you which one was right. When the last dot links back to 1, the picture closes up, appears in full, fills with color and Lia claps. There are ten levels with pictures from Lia's Coloring Book, from a 10-dot star to a 16-dot Scribble himself, with Granny Quelonia, a toy car and a treehouse along the way. Finish a level without a single wrong number for 3 stars.
In Selminha's words
“Connecting the dots is one of the first pencil games we ever learn: you count, and suddenly a picture shows up. I wanted that with a touch of Backyard Town magic, with Lia's Magic Crayon drawing across the page and the picture coming to life at the end.”
How to play Connect the Dots and tips for earning 3 stars
- Tap or click 1, then 2, then 3… The next number blinks to help. You can also slide your finger (or drag the mouse) from dot to dot without letting go.
- A wrong number doesn't draw anything: it just wiggles, and Scribble tells you which one was right. No mistakes: 3 stars; up to 3 mistakes: 2; more than that: 1.
- When the last dot links back to 1, the picture appears in full, fills with color and Lia claps.
- On a computer, the arrow keys or W A S D move between the dots, and Enter or Space connect the one you picked. On a controller: D-pad to pick and A to connect.
- Tip: before you tap, take a second to find the next number; it's almost always close to the last dot you connected.
The rules
- The order
- From 1 to the last number, without skipping any. The next number blinks.
- A wrong number
- It doesn't draw anything: it wiggles, and Scribble tells you which one was right. It counts against the level's stars.
- The picture
- When the last dot links back to 1, the picture closes up, appears in full and fills with color.
- Restart
- RESTART erases the line and starts the level over.
- Saved game
- The game remembers which level you are on. When you come back, you can keep going or start over.
The ten levels
- The pictures
- A star (10 dots), a cloud (10), a tent (10), Granny Quelonia (10), a heart (11), a fish (12), a flower (12), a toy car (15), a treehouse (16) and Scribble (16).
- Where they come from
- They're the pictures from Lia's Coloring Book, from the same Backyard Town.
