About Steel Flames
Dália's workshop burned to ashes, and the hunters took Lume, a dragon hatchling. The chase starts in the streets of the scrap city and carries on down a wrecked highway, through the ruins of a swamp, and up to a radio tower hiding the control over the dragons. Pick Dália, Bruto Vale or Kiko Faísca. Each hero has their own fighting rhythm and a different special: a steel arc, a seismic slam or an electric discharge. Between punches, flying kicks and improvised tools, you face four bosses, free trapped creatures and decide when to spend the resources you find along the way. Wild dragons only react if you hit them. After the rescue, Lume comes along and may answer with fire when an enemy hurts him. Four stages and 48 fights, with 3D characters and settings, sound of its own and controls made for playing right in your browser.
One of Selminha's ideas
“What if a workshop full of scrap were the start of a mission to free dragons? I left the tools nearby. You decide how to clear the way.”
How to play Steel Flames
- Pick your hero and move up the street, shifting position to slip past attacks and find room to strike. Beat every enemy in a fight to carry on.
- Step up to a weapon and press ATTACK to pick it up. The same button swaps what you are holding for something on the ground. Tools and the revolver have limited uses; when they start blinking, they are nearly gone.
- Jump and attack in mid-air for a flying kick. Press JUMP and ATTACK together, with empty hands, for the spin kick. With an object in hand, that combination throws it without jumping. The fuel can is always thrown and explodes on impact.
- Save energy for the specials: the special costs 8 points and the spin kick costs 4. The reserve does not come back on its own. Break crates to find energy cells, health kits or weapons; losing a life also refills the energy.
- Wild dragons may leave without a fight. Avoid hitting them unless you want to face their fire.
- On the third stage, open the three cages to free the dragons and move on. On the last one, beat the boss and destroy the transmitter.
- Use the pause screen to check the controls, adjust music and effects, leave full screen or go back to the menu. At the end of a run, save your name on the game's top 5, kept on the server.
Meet the three heroes
- Dália — the mechanic
- Balance and reach: average strength, rhythm and jump (3 out of 5 each). Special: Steel arc.
- Bruto Vale — the wall
- More health and more impact: strength 5 out of 5, with rhythm and jump at 2. Special: Seismic slam.
- Kiko Faísca — the spark
- Speed and jump at the maximum (5 out of 5 each) and strength 2. Special: Electric discharge.
The special costs 8 energy points and the spin kick costs 4. The reserve does not come back on its own: it comes from the energy cells hidden in crates and from every life you lose.
