About Duda's Dress-Up and Fashion Show

On Shop Street, Duda, the gang's cook, has a rack full of clay clothes, and Scribble keeps bringing her invitations. There are four, one after another: a rainy day for jumping in puddles, a picnic in the hot sun at Challenge Square, a chocolate cake class at the bakery and a chilly afternoon on the Hill, picking apples at the Little Farm. Each invitation shows what the judges will check. Tap the clothes on the rack to put them on or take them off: there are 13 pieces, including hats, sunglasses, a T-shirt, a sweater, a sundress, jeans, a raincoat, an apron, rain boots, sandals and sneakers. Each spot on the body takes one piece, so a new hat swaps out the old one. Ready? WALK THE RUNWAY sends Duda down the catwalk, where each judge (Lia, Nino and Iara) checks one part of the outfit and hands out a star when it fits the invitation. Wear the wrong hat, or sandals in the rain, and there's no star, but the judge tells you why. Dressing fast earns bonus points, and each invitation is worth more than the one before. Your game is saved on the device, and at the end your points go to the site's TOP 5.

In Selminha's words

“Every kid has heard 'Grab a jacket, it's going to get cold.' I wanted to turn that into play: Duda picks outfits for rain, sun, the kitchen and the cold, and the gang kindly tells her what she missed.”

How to play Duda's Dress-Up and Fashion Show

  1. Scribble brings the invitation: it shows what each judge will check (head, clothes, feet, warm top or legs). Tap DRESS UP DUDA to open the rack.
  2. Tap or click a piece on the rack to put it on Duda; tap it again to take it off. Each spot on the body takes one piece: a new hat swaps out the old one.
  3. Ready? Tap WALK THE RUNWAY. Duda hits the catwalk, and each judge holds up a sign: a star when Duda wears at least one piece that fits and nothing that doesn't for that judge.
  4. The faster you dress her, the more points you get: within 10 seconds, you get the full bonus; at 40 seconds or more, none. The bonus goes up with your stars.
  5. On a computer, the arrow keys or W A S D move around the rack and down to WALK THE RUNWAY, and Enter or Space puts pieces on, takes them off or starts the walk; on a controller, use the D-pad and A.

The four invitations

Rainy Day in Town
Rain is on the way, and the gang is going to jump in puddles. Lia checks the head, Nino the clothes and Iara the feet: rain hat, raincoat and rain boots. A straw hat, sunglasses or sandals in the rain cost you a star.
Picnic in the Square
Hot sun at Challenge Square: a straw hat or sunglasses, something cool to wear (the sundress or the T-shirt) and sandals or sneakers. A rain hat, a sweater, a raincoat or rain boots cost you a star.
Baking Class
Duda is teaching the gang to bake a chocolate cake at the Shop Street bakery: chef's hat, apron and sneakers. Any other hat, sunglasses or sandals in the kitchen cost you a star.
Chilly Afternoon on the Hill
It's chilly on the Hill, and the gang is picking apples at the Little Farm: a sweater, jeans and closed-toe shoes, either sneakers or rain boots. Sandals in the cold cost you a star.

Controls on phone and computer

Computer
Tap or click a piece to put it on or take it off, then tap WALK THE RUNWAY · arrow keys or W A S D move around the rack (and down to WALK THE RUNWAY) · Enter or Space puts a piece on, takes it off or starts the walk · P or Esc pauses · M sound · F full screen · controller: D-pad, A to put on or walk, Start to pause.
Touch
On a phone, it plays upright in full screen; on a tablet, it turns with the device; on a computer, it's landscape. The pieces on the rack are big buttons, and WALK THE RUNWAY sits at the bottom, just above where your thumb rests. Pinch with two fingers to zoom in on Duda and see each piece up close. Your game is saved on the device, along with Duda's outfit.

Stars and points

Each judge's star
Each judge checks one part of the outfit and gives a star when Duda wears at least one piece that fits and nothing that doesn't for that part. No star? The judge tells you what was missing or what didn't belong.
Points
Each star is worth 100 points on the first invitation, 200 on the second, 300 on the third and 400 on the fourth. Speed earns up to 100 bonus points per invitation: dress Duda within 10 seconds for the full bonus; at 40 seconds or more, there's none. The bonus goes up with your stars, so rushing down the runway in the wrong outfit earns nothing.
The whole game
There are 12 stars and up to 3,400 points. After the fourth invitation, your points go to the site's TOP 5.
Saved game
The game remembers the invitation you stopped at, along with Duda's outfit. When you come back, you can keep going or start over.
No lives
Nobody loses: every invitation ends with the runway walk, and RESTART INVITATION in the pause menu lets you try again.
